At Calabs Services, we are dedicated to providing exceptional and dependable domiciliary care services that are tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients. Before you sign up for our services, we want to ensure that you fully understand and agree to the terms outlined below:

Service Agreement

We believe in working closely with each client or their representative(s) to develop a personalised care plan that is specifically designed for them. Our team will engage in a discussion with you to determine your preferences for the type of domiciliary care required, as well as the most convenient times for care. We will provide you with a copy of the agreed-upon plan, along with an informative user guide that outlines our services in detail.

Booking Your Service

Our staff has flexible work schedules, allowing us to provide timely appointments at your convenience. If you need to make changes to previously scheduled appointments, you can contact us by telephone, email, or speak directly with your assigned caregiver. Please note that while we make every effort to ensure continuity of service, there may be times when another member of our team needs to provide care in the absence of your assigned caregiver.

Charges

Calabs Services offers competitive rates that are clearly outlined before the start date and not exceeding the beginning of the month. Invoices will be automatically dispatched via post when payments are due. A payment upon receipt policy applies, and debit card payment options are available. Please note that directly paying employed caregivers is not allowed. Any necessary adjustments to charges over time will be communicated to you at least one month prior to the changes in writing. If your account is overdue by two weeks or more, a surcharge of up to 5% will be applied.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel an appointment, we require at least 24 hours’ notice and a satisfactory reason. If no cancellation notice is received, billing processes will remain unaffected. In cases of emergency appointments, which cannot be canceled, there will be no cancellation fees.

Insurance

It is essential to have proper coverage for personal injury claims, loss or damage, and safeguarding provisions at your premises. Please do not request transportation support from our caregivers using your own cars, as this could compromise insurance validity. If equipment is used under premises ownership, manuals must be followed, and periodic checks done as required by relevant laws governing workplace environments. The Care Manager reserves the sole right to decide whether additional training requirements are essential for handling specialized equipment applications, as they form part of the risk assessment package covering the risks involved.

Changes To The Terms & Conditions Agreement

Only written agreements duly signed off by Calabs Company managers will render modified T&C agreements valid. Consequently, every customer will receive a copy of the updated terms and conditions for their records.

Behaviour Policy

At Calabs Services, we have a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of abusive behaviour towards our staff. In compliance with health and safety laws, we reserve the right to withdraw our staff from a client’s premises immediately if they experience any threatening or harmful conduct. Any investigation arising will be conducted by our Care Service Manager, who will report the outcomes as necessary.

Ending The Agreement

We understand that circumstances may change over time, necessitating termination. In such instances, a notice in writing must reach our offices at least one week prior to pending changes. However, if situations arise during the provision of care services, rendering it impracticable to adhere to the set deadline, negotiations are open-ended to enable both parties to come up with feasible workarounds. Similarly, Calabs Services reserves the sole right to terminate contract arrangements if breaches against the T&C agreements occur.
